How To Watch Monsters At Work On Disney

The beloved Scarers of Pixar’s “Monsters, Inc.” are back. Mike (Billy Crystal) and Sulley (John Goodman) return in the 10-episode series, “Monsters at Work,” which officially debuted on Disney+ on Wednesday. Produced by Disney Television Animation, “Monsters at Work” was inspired by the Oscar-winning film and features returning characters alongside a slew of newbies. “Monsters at Work” picks up the day after the Monsters, Inc. power plant started harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis. The new energy source could present a problem for Tylor Tuskmon (Ben Feldman), a novice young monster who graduated top of his class at Monsters University and dreams of becoming a Scarer. When Tyler lands a job at Monsters, Inc. he quickly learns that he’ll have to switch from scaring children to making them laugh. After being temporarily reassigned to the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team (MIFT), Taylor is tasked with working with a misfit bunch of mechanics while setting his sights on becoming a Jokester. In addition to Taylor, viewers will get introduced to new monster characters including Taylor’s friend, Val Little (Mindy Kaling), his boss Fritz (Henry Winkler), his parents Millie (Aisha Tyler) and Bernard (John Ratzenberger), a four-eyed plumber named Duncan (Lucas Neff), Cutter (Alanna Ubach), the crablike rule follower, and Monsters, Inc. custodial team members Smitty and Needleman (Stephen Stanton). Returning characters from the movie include Yeti (Ratzenberger), Celia Mae (Jennifer Tilly), Ms. Flint (Bonnie Hunt), and Roze (Bob Peterson), twin sister to the slug-like character, Roz. “Our original concept was to start six months after [the transition], but it’s more interesting to deal with it during the switch, and then having a character who has prepared to be a Scarer all of his life and has idolized Sulley and has to change the moment he gets hired,” said executive producer and show developer Bobs Gannaway. “Monsters at Work” is produced by Sean Lurie (“Inner Workings”), with Kat Good (“Big Hero 6 The Series”) and Steve Anderson (“Meet the Robinsons”) serve as supervising directors. The late Rob Gibbs (“Monsters, Inc.,” “Toy Story 2,” “Finding Nemo”), a former Pixar story artists, director, and writer who passed away last year, also directed some of the earlier episodes.
