Farrow,” a four-part HBO documentary series from directors Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering. The two filmmakers have already crafted a powerful trilogy exposing sexual abuse in various American institutions (“The Invisible War,” “The Hunting Ground,” and last year’s “On the Record”), and while their first docuseries is largely focused on one infamous act, its thorough evaluation is enlightening beyond what happened to this famous family....

HBO late night host John Oliver used a recent episode of “Last Week Tonight” to express his befuddlement over HBO Max’s upcoming “Sex and the City” sequel series “And Just Like That.” The show is now filming in New York City with original cast members Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon front and center. Missing from the action is Kim Cattrall, and Oliver, like every “Sex and the City” fan on the planet, said there’s no point making a sequel to the show without Samantha....

“Law & Order,” which premiered on NBC in 1990 and ran for 20 seasons before being cancelled in 2010, is returning to NBC with the classic format that explores two separate, yet equally important groups: “The police who investigate crimes and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders.” Wolf Entertainment, which produces the show, announced that Season 21 was a go on Tuesday. The decision could benefit NBCUniversal on multiple fronts....

When wealthy family friend Javier (Cliff Curtis) comes to town for a business investment, Julija sees a way out — no matter the cost. Set along Croatia’s Adriatic coast, “Murina” features cinematography by “The Lost Daughter” and “Never Rarely Sometimes Always” director of photography Hélène Louvart and is executive produced by Martin Scorsese, with whom director Kusijanović revealed she connected with most over authentically portraying Mediterranean cultural dynamics....

“I’m very happy you’re all here,” she said . “Today was my first time going back to the theater after a year. I love going to the movies here in New York.” That sentiment pervaded the sold-out audience at Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade theater, but it also meant the 268-seat screening room could only accommodate 50. Current capacity limits are 33 percent; other regulations require one empty row between all occupied ones....

The second Senate impeachment trial of Trump is scheduled to begin on February 9, following the U.S. House of Representatives’ successful impeachment of the president earlier in the month. The results give IATSE President Matthew Loeb the power to call a strike for IATSE members working under two expired contracts: the Hollywood Basic Agreement, which covers the approximately 40,000 to 45,000 members of 13 West Coast locals, and the Area Standards Agreement, which covers some 10,000 to 15,000 members employed on productions in places like Georgia, New Mexico, and Louisiana. Negotiations between IATSE and the AMPTP reached an impasse last month, prompting Loeb to call the vote....
